Have you ever wonder how LCDTVTHAILAND crown our Best TV & Best Projector for the “VIDEOPHILE LCDTVTHAILAND AWARDS”?
LCDTVTHAILAND believes in a professional and systematic approach so we could give our readers a fair, non-bais and accurate reports when selecting TVs. The route to crown the champions starts from banding the TVs and Projectors by its launching year. All TVs and projectors must be launched and readily available at the store during 1st January – 31st November each year. The contestants (TVs & Projector) will be subjected to a comprehensive test in our studio or in-depth outfield test such in our LCDTVTHAILAND product seminars. It is a must for displays to be calibrated to the same standards according to Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) before assessment.

The Environment Factor
The best TV & Projector have to perform well in both home theater room and normal environment. To make the assessment as accurate as possible, we run a full performance twice, in different environment settings.
1) Home Theater Room (100% controllable light) First, we run test using the out-of-box picture setting to find out the one closest to the reference standard. The second test will be conducted once the TV is calibrated to Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) standards to achieve ideal Dynamic range, Color, White Balance , Color Gamut, and etc., which represent “Picture Quality” of the display standards.
2) Living Room (Sunlight effect) We run multiple test in both day and night time, with curtains and without, under lighting and anti-glare test to reflects the real watching environment of Thai people.

LCDTVTHAILAND Exclusive Product Seminar
LCDTVTHAILAND host “Product Seminar” twice a year to introduce trendy technologies of visual displays to A/V enthusiasts. The seminars take place in the biggest Thailand A/V show, TAV Show (Thailand Audio Video Show) and BAV Show (Bangkok Audio Video Show).
In these seminars, we organize “TV shootout” to compare the picture quality of TVs from each brand. These shootout are executed fair and professionallly by calibrating all TVs to the same standard, and then get verified by the representatives of each brand before the battle. The audiences can closely witness the performance of the contestants with their own eyes.
We also host brand exclusive seminar to share with our participants the brands vision and technology. For this seminar, we will compare the TVs “Series by Series” instead e.g. Entry level VS Mid-level VS to Top-of-the-line. The purpose is to let the audiences see how difference in picture quality in each series step by step. We also demonstrate the top-talked techs at that moment e.g. 4K UHD, HDR, 3D, OLED VS Quantum Dot, Black Level, and Android/ Smart TV features, to let the audiences know the benefits of these functions.
The feedback & reviews gathered in these events will play an important part for the final judgment of “Best TV Awards”.
