Evolution2 series of Wharfedale is nothing more but substantially modified Evolution series. Now it can give a good run to the top OPUS series (not only by quality, but price too). A neat finish leaves a very pleasant impression. A 25-mm tweeter is equipped with a silk dome, which has an aluminum coil and neodymium magnet. The mount of tweeter on a semicircular panel, the second part of which is bent on the top panel, looks unusual. A 175-mm MF/HF driver now has the diffuser made of "black Kevlar", the bass-reflex port is placed on the front panel.
Sound. Quite deep, weighty, elastic bass of Englishmen is slightly inferior to other registers. Excellent dynamical resource expands to the area of upper bass. The model correctly plays the scale of musical image. Wharfedale Evo2-10 very correctly plays recordings of any music genres and styles, so it can be easily called universal. Warm flavor of sound and also the fact that high-frequency information slightly needs more sharpness and graphics should not be referred to disadvantages, but to individual features of Wharfedale Evo2-10 sound character.
